- The much more comfortable EMS scaler:
is brought into our Bendigo 448 Dental surgery since 2020.The air flow system makes use of a combination of air, water and powder to effectively remove bacteria, stains, biofilm, soft plaque and some calculus from teeth.Unlike traditional teeth cleaning techniques, the air flow system is much more comfortable for our patients. - Endodontic:
We use rotary endodontic unit for root canal treatment to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. It saves time and that means you don’t have to open your mouth for too long. There is less force exerted compared to the manual way.
- Sterilization:
We take infection control very seriously. Bendigo 448 Dental has 2 new sterilizers, both class B heated vacuum sterilization units, to ensure the highest standard of disinfection on dental tools.
- CEREC:
a method of CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) is used for creating dental restorations, such as inlays, onlays, crowns. The restoration is milled in house in the same visit. The treatment is finished in a single visit, rather than over multiple appointments. The intra-oral scanner is great for patients who gag, and find the traditional method of taking the impression difficult to handle.
- Dental laser:
soft tissue laser enables precise trimming of any soft unwanted tissues with less discomfort. This ensures better work to be done, for example when the cavity goes beyond the gum line. It can also be used for frenectomy, tongue tie removal and treatment of ulcers.
- Dental chairs equipped with intra-oral camera as visual aid to enable better communication between the dentist and you.
- Head loupes: our dentists at Bendigo 448 Dental all wear magnified loops to ensure our vision is the clearest when delivering treatments to you.
- Needle-phobic patients and children:
we use the wand, a computer-controlled dental anesthetic delivering system, instead of the traditional needles to ensure the best comfort for you. We also have happy gas (nitrous oxide) to help you relax during treatment if needed. Treatments can also be done under general anesthetics at St John of God hospital if requested.
- Teeth whitening:
Zoom LED-assisted bleaching is used for in-surgery teeth whitening, giving the best result.
Silfradent centrifuge for CGF (concentrated growth factor): is used for gum graft, and socket preservation after extraction.
Mectron: is used for atraumatic extraction and sinus lift during implant placement.
Extracted tooth is no longer a biological waste. We can process the clean part of your own extracted tooth into bone graft material, which is used for implant placement. Bendigo 448 Dental is the only clinic in Bendigo who has this machine.
